My name is Gemma Bolwell and through Drama Adventures I aim to:

• make each session or workshop an exciting creative journey

• teach Drama as a subject in its own right and also as a methodology through which young people actively acquire knowledge and essential skills

• seek to extend young people's horizons through stepping into other people's shoes across space and time

• work in a way which encourages young people to become confident trail-blazers of their own creative adventures.

Credentials:

• honours degree in English Literature and Theatre Studies (Glasgow University)

• PGCE in English and Drama (Newcastle University)

• masters degree in Theatre Making (Leeds University)

• 8 years experience as a secondary school Drama teacher

• examining experience for GCSE and A Level

• founder of adult theatre company: Foulisfair Theatre

• experience of working as a professional theatre-maker and performer

• 4 years recent experience of teaching Drama in primary schools

• experience in delivering Drama projects for Art Shape and the Everyman Theatre
